The “Guest Cottage” was the first phase of an eventual renovation of the three structures on this 24-acre salt water farm, and set the tone for all future development. Starting from the “ground up”, Normand Associates Architects was able to develop the owner’s program as envisioned to be a simplistic backdrop for their collection of native art. The site and the current shore land zoning regulations limited the expansion of the structure and its footprint, we therefore elected to go upwards and in doing so took greater advantage of the spectacular ocean views!
