We initially were approached to simply design a new home for a growing physical therapy group.The primary design requirement of the owners was to provide a “humanistic environment” for their practice. Our solution was to develop the treatment and business wings surrounding a warm and very homelike reception and waiting area. Our design not only involved the use of natural wood throughout but we incorporated a massive native stone fireplace with openings into both the waiting as well as the adjacent conference areas. Unique hand forged lighting sconces throughout all combined to integrate the structure into the natural environment. A vaulted ceiling in the therapy room with large windows opening onto the park like surroundings make for a tranquil space in which to begin ones often long road to recovery.

As the design work neared completion we were asked to become the contractor for the project with our construction management division which we did gladly and with great success. The building has undergone a transformation in use and in 2002 a large training room addition designed by us was added for the new owners.
